Mini Naan Pizzas

Welcome!

In this post, I am sharing an easy recipe for mini naan pizzas.  We started making naan pizzas during a time when a lot of restaurants were shut down.  We experimented with different cook times and different toppings, and the end result is a simple recipe that is easy to make and easy to customize.

Why make mini naan pizzas?

Making your own pizza at home could help you save time and money.  Ordering pizza can be expensive, especially when no one can agree on the toppings.  Using mini naan, you can customize each mini pizza to suit individual tastes.  And as for time, one tray of pizzas bakes for a mere 10 minutes!

Ingredients:
  • Mini Naan Pizza (4 pack)
  • Shredded Mozarella Cheese
  • Tomato Sauce
  • Sliced Pepperoni
  • Additional Pizza Toppings: olives, mushrooms, jalapenos, etc...
  • Shredded cheddar cheese.

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • Place 4 mini naans on a pizza tray or baking sheet.  You may need to line your baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil to prevent sticking.
  • Add 1 tablespoon of mozzarella cheese to each naan.

  • Add 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce onto each naan. Spread the sauce evenly.

  • Add pepperoni slices to each pizza.

  • Add additional pizza toppings.

  • Top with additional cheese.

  • Bake the pizzas for 10 minutes.
  • Let the pizzas rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes:
  • We usually buy naan ahead of time and store it in the freezer.  We freeze it in its original packaging. To thaw the naan, we let it rest on the countertop for about 20 minutes.
  • We shred our own cheese from the block.  Freshly shredded cheese melts better than prepackaged cheese.
  • The tomato sauce we use comes in a 15oz. can, and we don't need all of it for this recipe.  To use up the rest of the sauce, I like to make Homemade Hamburger Helper or Pizza Quesadillas.  It's nice when recipes can share ingredients!

Storage:
  • Store the naan in a container with a tight lid.  Cooked naan pizza will last in the refrigerator for about 3 days.

Does naan pizza make a good work lunch?
  • Yes. Naan reheats well in the microwave.  I pack two mini pizzas in a microwave-safe container for my husband, and it is one of his favorite work lunches.

  • If you work from home, you can reheat the naan in the oven or warm it on a skillet for a crispier crust.

Let me know if you have made this recipe.  What toppings do you like?
