Welcome!
In this post, I am sharing a recipe for a pizza omelet. If you find yourself craving pizza in the morning, you should definitely give pizza omelet a try. This dish combines the best of both worlds - the comforting flavors of pizza and the protein-packed goodness of an omelet. This breakfast will leave you feeling satisfied and energized for the day ahead. This omelet is easy to make and easy to customize. Also, it's a great way to use up leftovers: If you have leftover pizza toppings (from Mini Naan Pizza night), the pizza omelet is a great way to use them up. Simply add them to your omelet for a delicious breakfast that is both easy and economical.
Ingredients for 1 Omelet:
- 1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon water
- cheese (1 slice of cheese or 1/4 cup shredded cheese)
- Pizza toppings (such as pepperoni, sausage, onions, jalapenos, peppers, mushrooms, olives, and anything else you like)
- Seasonings: salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese.
Instructions:
- Warm a medium-sized skillet over medium heat.
- Add 1/2 tablespoon of oil to skillet. Swirl oil to coat pan.
- In a small bowl, crack two eggs. Add 1 tablespoon of water to the eggs. Mix well.
- Pour the egg mixture into skillet.
- As the eggs begin to cook, gently tilt the pan so that any uncooked egg can run towards the outer circle of the omelet. You may need to lift up the omelet with a spatula to allow the uncooked egg to run under the omelet.
- After the eggs are set and no longer runny, add your cheese and pepperoni (if desired).
- Add your additional toppings to the omelet. The omelet pictured below has mushrooms, jalapenos, and olives.
- Fold one side of the omelet in and then repeat with the other side.
- Season the omelet with salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese!
